(NYSE: DVA) and a leading provider of kidney care services, announced that it has given away more than $1.75 million to charities in more than 1,000 communities across the U.S. as part of the “DaVita Way of Giving.”
DaVita teammates in dialysis centers across the nation chose local charities to support as part of theDaVita Way of Giving, the company’s locally focused charitable giving initiative that helps 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations grow and thrive. Charities included food banks, thrift stores, crisis centers, children’s organizations, foundations, ministries, soup kitchens and many more.

As a part of the DaVita Way of Giving, DaVita contributed $132,000 to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. These contributions will help relief organizations supporting recovery and rebuilding efforts in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
